When you get to know Mr. Tunca, who can make you any kind of coffee you want right there, you understand better why the coffee you are drinking can be so delicious.
Tunca, who opened the refined coffee shop that he always dreamed of and operates today, in December 2012, graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Beykent University with a vertical transfer from Bilkent University, Department of Commerce and Management. Then he received professional pastry training at the Culinary Arts Academy. While his previous intention was to make a boutique pastry, he went to London, England, with the Italians he met while working as an apprentice in the Istanbul Doors Group for a while, where he studied at the London School of Coffee for 2.5 years and after completing this school, he learned the coffee business and worked with Italians in the kitchen of this business. When he returned to Istanbul, he realized his dream of opening a business that would combine the art of coffee and pastry in Moda.
Tunca Bey, whose house he was born and grew up in is in Suadiye, lives in Fenerbahce, he opened his dream job in Moda because it is close to his house and he is from Kadıköy. When choosing the location of the Çekirdek Cafe, he did not want it to be a place on the street and thought of a cafe in a quiet place where only people who know come. Despite this, today, when many people want to come here and drink their coffee, there has been a very busy customer and regular. Mr. Tunca roasts the coffee himself, and he can make all kinds of coffee in this way. He can also make all kinds of sweets himself and offer them for sale. He says that despite the delicious tastes and presentation quality that comes out with his knowledge and skill in his work, with his extremely humble personality, I always tried to do the best in what I do, for me, a service done to people is the best service.
